Craig Walker

Craig Walker has been a research associate with Development, Policy and Practice at The Open University since 2016. He came to the OU as a student doing a Masters in Development Management, after which, he went on to do a PhD in the department. Craig’s research centres broadly on political violence, war, peacebuilding processes and democracy in fragile states. Recently, he has had the opportunity to work on a number of migration-centred projects centring on peacebuilding between refugees and hosting communities. Underpinning Craig’s research is a focus on the role of political and social constructions of identity as a cause of conflict. Within DEPA, he is particularly interested in developing his work with the participatory photography-based method PhotoVoice.
