Educational Resources

Some people from Mozambique were among those who were affected by the Xenophobic attacks in South Africa that are taking place since 2008. The participants of the project were a cohort of Mozambicans with some form of post high school qualification and could utilise the book (BR)OTHER by photojournalists James Oatway and Alon Skuy. The book and an accompanied education version of it showcase some of the experiences of not only the Mozambicans but other African nationals that were victimised during the Xenophobic attacks. Other resources were developed for use by educators, facilitators and youth leaders.

You can listen to the podcast with Mduduzi Ntuli (JHGC facilitator) and Milissao Nuvunga (CEPCB) about DEPA and the Nelspruit workshop here.
